Nunipag Figure Skaters series
The Nunipag Figure Skaters series is a series of interconnected standalone reads, planned to be a trilogy, focused on figure skaters in the fictional town of Nunipag in upstate NY. Each book will feature:
- a slow-burn sapphic relationship
- detailed descriptions of figure skating (meant to be enjoyed both by skating nerds and ‘I watch it at the Olympics’ fans)
- a "sweet" heat level (some kissing)
All books will be available at a variety of retailers as well as on Kobo Plus (a read-all-you-like subscription service from Kobo, like Kindle Unlimited). They can also be requested on library platforms such as Overdrive/Libby and Hoopla.

Book 1: Edge Closer - out now!
As Kathy Peterson finishes her last year of high school, her goals all revolve around her figure skating career in what could be her final season. She doesn't want to think about how the hyper-feminine expectations of skating, which she doesn't have the nerve to go against, are making her increasingly uncomfortable. And she certainly doesn't need the kind of distraction a relationship would bring.
Ava Choi, the new girl in town, doesn't seem like she should be distracting at all, even after Kathy is forced to take a class alongside her. She's so shy she barely speaks. She's the smart one between them. She does gymnastics, not skating, and she doesn't even compete. They have nothing in common... except for Ava's appreciation for skating. And Kathy's style in particular – which she praises for the same pretty and girly qualities Kathy is struggling with.
The more time they spend together, and the more Ava sees courage – something both of them feel they lack – in Kathy's performances, the more Kathy longs to make this the year when her skating finally feels like her own. But will Ava still like Kathy if she learns about the unfeminine version of Kathy that's been kept closed away?
Edge Closer is a sweet, slow-burn, friends-to-lovers story about courage and being one's true self.
Available DRM-free (where available) at your favorite booksellers as well as on Kobo Plus.
Book 2 coming June 15 - On Her Flip Side
When Chloe Yang walks into her new acting class to upgrade her burgeoning figure skating career, she sits next to the prettiest girl in the room and hopes she's found a kindred spirit. Instead, Maya Dunn scorns the entire reason Chloe signed up.
Chloe's got enough to deal with: making a splash with her upcoming debut on the senior skating scene, trying to find a more mature style when everyone thinks her sunny performances are childish, and hiding her worries about how hard her mom works to fund her skating beneath her optimistic front. She can stand to make it through one summer of acting classes in the same room as grumpy, abrasive Maya - who barely seems to want to be there in the first place.
But as they learn to act out new selves on stage, Chloe finds that maybe Maya is paying more attention than she gave her credit for - and that she's struggling with unhappy feelings of her own. Will one summer be enough to melt the ice between them?
On Her Flip Side is a sweet, slow-burn summer romance about opposites finding they have more in common than they think - and finding their own path in life.
